LeapFrog DIDJ Gaming System

LeapFrogDIDJGamingSystem

The LeapFrog DIDJ Gaming System is a handheld video game system that combines customizable learning with fun filled, action packed video games. The DIDJ is made by the same company that produced the Leapster and LeapPad for younger kids. The LeapFrog DIDJ, intended for use by grade school children, ages 6 to 10, connects to your computer through a parental interface to allow customizable game play using the child’s actual school curriculum. Are your kids having problems with multiplication tables? Kids can choose to be quizzed on specific times tables, such as the 6s, 7s and 8s tables. Are next week’s spelling words a stumbling block? Create a custom spelling list from the 10,000- word database and practice for next week’s test.

The DIDJ uses a USB connection to your computer to allow parents to monitor the activities and see the progress their child is making. The system connects directly to the award winning LeapFrog Learning Path software at leapfrog.com.

Additional software modules are available to give the child new games and challenges. Let Hanna Montana help your 7 to 10 year old with spelling, vocabulary and math problems. Indiana Jones tackles multiplication and division problems from 0 to 12 as well as teaching one and two digit addition and subtraction. Take a look at Start Wars for fractions, geometry and place values. Nancy Drew works with your child on consonant and vowel blends, compound words, contractions and plurals. These characters and many others will teach these necessary skills while your child is having fun playing a video game. Correct answers are rewarded with points which can be traded in to allow the child to customize and upgrade the characters in the game.

The LeapFrog DIDJ Gaming System runs on 4 standard AA batteries but an optional docking station/charger is available for use with rechargeable batteries.

As parents, I know we all struggle with the amount of time our children spend playing video games. This is one video game I have to endorse. What parent could object to a video game that actually helps a child with their homework? And what child would object to studying while playing a video game?

Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube

December 9, 2008

What would you call a toy that expectant mothers have reported purchased it so that they could play it for their child while it was still in the womb? I would call it amazing, but the actual name for this great product is the
Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube.
cube-lrg

What the Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube actually is is a great soft toy that can teach your young child the beauty of great music. Instead of bombarding young child, or in the case of the expectant mother your yet to be born child, with the harsh sounds of drums, sirens and whistles the Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube plays more refined sounds from the Violin, French Horn, Piano, Harp and the Flute.

Thinking about the above statement I have realized that some of today’s toy manufactures tend to forget that the parents and grandparents of these children also have to listen to music that there toys create. Most of those toys soon become very annoying, often grating on our auditory nerves. The Munchkin Mozart magic cube is a very welcome exception to that group of products

Each of the sounds can be played individually, or combined to create your childs own master pieces. As each sound is played the corresponding light blinks on and off until that sound ends. So in addition to teaching the sound, your child learns the concept of cause and effect. Each side of the cube features a separate sound, adding to the interest of the youngest child.

The expectant mother from above goes on to tell that she continued to play the Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube for her new infant. I can not think of a better testimonial for any product then that. I know of many products that would like have that kind of loyalty. So get your Cube today before supplies run out. You never know, you may be encouraging the world’s next musical genius!
